Build stronger gates with our Fabricated 5″ Rectangular Block Hinges. We have engineered these hinges for versatility, taking the reliable core of a “BH-M” 5″ block hinge and welding on substantial mounting plates to suit both bolting and welding applications.

Heavy-Duty Fabrication

Each unit features a 5/8″ solid steel pin with a ball-bearing assembly for smooth operation. The core is reinforced with 3/8″ thick steel plates welded to both the barrel and pin sides. These 8″ long plates provide maximum surface area for stability.

Choose Your Mounting Style

Select the version that fits your installation method:

1. Bolt-On (With Holes): The plates come pre-drilled with holes sized for 1/2″ bolts (spaced 6-1/2″ center-to-center). Ideal for installing onto wood posts, masonry anchors, or pre-drilled steel frames.
2. Weld-On (No Holes): The plates are solid steel without holes. This provides a clean, solid surface for welding directly to steel posts or gate frames without needing to fill or work around bolt holes.

Load Capacity

• Capacity: Rated for gates up to 600 lbs when using a pair (2 hinges).
• Note: Always verify your gate weight before selecting hinges. For gates heavier than 300 lbs, please check our larger block hinge options.
